First Baptist Church Broad
THE HISTORY
The Above and Beyond Capital Campaign began in 2002 and
was designed to address the current and future needs of
the First baptist congregation. Additionally, the campaign
was meant to position the church as a positive, healing
force within the community that is assembled for one ourpose,
the glory of God.
The
campaign consists of 5 basic phases. They are as follows:
I.
Victory Center (2002)
II. Property Purchase & Parking Construction (2008)
III. Sanctuary (2009)
IV & V. Community Development (Ongoing)
Phase
I allowed the church to realize the construction and eventual
completion of the Victory Center. The congregation's faithful
giving, coupled with God's never ending grace, caused the
project's $200,000 goal to be easily surpassed by $100,000
for a total of $300,000!
DROPS
OF FAITH
We are now entering Phase II of our exciting effort which
includes the acquisition of property in and around the current
First Baptist location, the demolition of the existing structures
on those properties and the eventual construction of new
and secured parking for congregation members.
In
order to accomplish Phase II of this faith-filled vision
for First Baptist, we enter into the project with the expectation
that the Lord will do great things for and through His people.
We will release those blessings and get ready for the rain,
as we show our support through "Drops of Faith".

WE CAN DO GREAT THINGS FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IMPACTING
OUR SENIORS, ADULTS, YOUTH AND THE COMMUNITY!
MAKING
YOUR DROPS OF FAITH
In
order for us to realize the future that God has in store
for First Baptist, we must all do three things:
1.
Be Prayerful.
2. Commit to the effort.
3. Follow through on our commitments.
Each member is being asked to make
an individual Drop of Faith by pledging an amount ABOVE
AND BEYOND your tithes and offering.
Pledges
can be made in any amount that God places on your hearts.
It is not the size of the gift that is important, it is
the spirit in which it is being given. The pledge can be
paid weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or all at once. Upon completion,
participants will receive a pledge pin as evidence of their
comminment to this great and Godly cause.
THE
LORD'S WORD...
"Fear
not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great
things. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in
the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain
moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain,
the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month."
